Everyone is Getting Ready to Style Summer's Must-Have Dress Style.

The heat is definitely on... and I particularly love to style summer dresses more than t-shirts, shorts or rompers during this hot humid season. Cool, breezy, comfortable and most definitely stylish, maxi summer dresses can take one's look from day to night with just a simple change of accessories.

Here I styled Summer's must-have maxi dress style with wedges to keep it casual for the day and a lovely matching silk shawl for the evening to throw over and cover up. I love how maxi dresses flow and with the lovely daisy floral prints on this halter neck style, it certainly added that light cheerful summer feel to the outfit. A great vacation outfit for sure and this outfit worn on my recent holiday trip have me pining for more holidays to come!

Whilst this was a Forever 21 number, I found great buys recently on Fashionmia where there was a wide range of summer dresses on sale for your picking. Hurry and check out their summer sale of 60% off for many of their items.

Here are some of my favourites :

Mix and match the looks with Summer's favourite bag style i.e straw bags of varied designs,  and you will be ready to rock the most trendiest look for Summer 2018. Do share with me in the comments below which is your favourite Maxi Dress style.

Coachella 2018 Street Style

Friday, April 20, 2018 Simone - Your Style Architect 2 Comments

Every year in Spring, I look forward to seeing all the street styles of Coachella's music festival. The influx of people and celebrities for this festival is such a sight and that boho chic, hippie, flower power vibe is recreated year after year.

As a waldorf teacher, this is also the time when we prepare to celebrate May Day Beautiful spring flowers are weaved into garlands that adorn our heads and  we dance around the May pole in celebration of Springtime. However in Singapore, I have yet to experience this.

So before the Coachella festival ends, I wanted to share my look for this year's Coachella festival. Being bold and feeling a little " exposed" I styled this inner lingerie piece with a button down H&M maxi dress as my outerwear and paired with my cut off denim shorts. And if we were to go hippie than no footwear would be the way to go. A versatile look playing with women's maxi dresses to be styled in various ways.

It was pouring outside so I had to take this shot somehow indoors but I hope you still like this fun look.

Love,
Simone xoxo

Batam Green :: Paperbag Pants and Circle Straw Bag

Wednesday, April 11, 2018 Simone - Your Style Architect 5 Comments

A quick weekend getaway to celebrate my husband's birthday, our upcoming 18th Wedding Anniversary and to celebrate our Easter holidays. Being only a 45 mins ferry ride away from Singapore, and seeing that the last I had ventured to this little Indonesian island of Batam was at least almost 20 yrs ago, we decided on this destination for our quick trip.

So bags packed, and doggies off to boarding, we arranged for a quick getaway not sure what to expect from this little quaint island.

Of course, we stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort Batam as it had so much to offer within it's hotel premises from food, beautiful spa treatments operated by Tea Tree Spa and of course, the beautiful and expansive hotel grounds with landscaped gardens and a large swimming pool. There was an in-house sports bar, teppanyaki restaurant, games room filled with foosball, pool, billiard, chess ( you name it they got it) and of course a very large Gym and outdoor trampoline, table tennis and tennis court for the active ones. There was also an in-house kids club which was manned by the staff so mom and dad could sneak away for a quick massage or spa treatment not having to worry about finding someone to babysit.

Lazing by the pool hut after swimming a couple of laps, I enjoyed my pina colada and snuggled amongst the cushion for a nice read of the magazines and books I brought along with me. Funny enough the weather was nice and breezy and certainly not as humid as in Singapore at this time of the year.

And so a couple of outfit shots later, we dashed for a quick massage to unwind and relax.

Let me know if you wish to find out more about the facilities at the Holiday Inn Resort Batam - we definitely will be back again for more!

Spring 2018 Hottest Trend :: Ice Cream Colours

Sunday, April 01, 2018 Simone - Your Style Architect 5 Comments

Ice cream colours is Spring 2018 hottest colour trends. Pleasant and certainly soothing and refreshing ( no pun intended..) to the eye, I decided to pair Spring's hottest shades this weekend exploring Haji Lane, nestled in the muslim quarters of Singapore

A whimsical hipster neighbourhood with quaint and stand alone boutiques, cafe, bars and restaurants - its a definite must-stop tourist destination if you are visiting Singapore. Delicacies and cuisines both local and international tickle the tastebuds of many. You can most certainly enjoy a lovely meal of kebabs whilst if I am not mistaken ( with a license) some restaurants still do offer Shisha smoking at their outlets.

After walking through the narrow streets and taking in the culture and smells of this lovely enclave, I had to end the day with a nice ice cold beer!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!
